I.M.P.A.C.T., Training for the Juvenile & Domestic Relations Prosecutor: Initiating Meaningful Prosecution at Critical Times
March 8, 2020 - March 11, 2020
A three and one-half day intensive training for the J&DR prosecutor. The program focuses on juvenile court practice & procedure and dealing with juvenile delinquency. Specific topics to be covered include juvenile brain development, juvenile trials & sentencing options, DJJ length of stay guidelines, substance abuse and juveniles, transfer/certification issues, juvenile sex-offenders and competency issues.
Lodging will be provided for attendees whose offices are more than twenty-five miles from the Virginia Crossings Hotel and Conference Center in Glen Allen, VA. Meals will be provided or reimbursed, but mileage to and from the program is not covered.
Once you’ve registered, you will receive a confirmation email. This training is limited to 25 students who will be accepted on a first come, first served basis, with preference for one attendee per jurisdiction. Multiple attendees from the same jurisdiction will be considered if space is available.
