Combatting Commercial Sex Trafficking and Forced Labor in Virginia: A Comprehensive Training for Law Enforcement and Prosecutors

January 13, 2025 - January 16, 2025

CASC, DCJS and the VSP together are offering a free four-day training to both prosecutors and law enforcement on the investigation and prosecution of commercial sex trafficking and forced labor.  It will be held in Williamsburg from January 13 – 16, 2025.

This program, developed in partnership with the Human Trafficking Institute in Washington D.C., will increase the overall awareness and understanding of commercial sex trafficking, forced labor and illicit massage businesses.  It will dispel common myths and misconceptions through the use of data and create an understanding and working knowledge of the applicable forced labor and commercial sex trafficking laws.  It will further increase victim identification and improve human trafficking investigations and prosecutions and will improve the collaborative response to combatting trafficking in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

The program is free.  Lodging will be provided, if requested, for attendees whose offices are more than twenty-five miles from the training site.  Free parking is available.  Breakfast and lunch will be provided free of charge each day. Dinner will be on your own and not reimbursed. Mileage is NOT covered and will be the attendee’s responsibility.

Seats are limited.  By registering to attend, you are agreeing to attend and participate in the entire four-day program.   CLE’s and PIC credits will be provided.
