CASC’s Arson Investigation & Prosecution program is focused on all aspects of Arson cases, including forensics, expert testimony, and legal aspects, and is focused on Arson as a tool of fraud. This program combines prosecutors, Virginia State Police/BCI investigators and insurance company fraud investigators for a week of team training including ATF arson specialists and a “live burn” where students will witness and then examine a crime scene. Lodging (for those whose offices are more than 25 from the venue) & meals are included, but mileage is not. The program begins at noon on Monday, February 6, and ends at noon on Friday, February 10, 2023.

This program is a rotating program with other topics involving insurance fraud. Previous attendees of other “Red Flag” insurance fraud programs (such as elder fraud) are welcome to attend.

Prosecutors may sign up using the link below provided by CASC.  State Police should sign up using procedures outlined by Virginia State Police. Insurance Investigators should sign up using the procedures provided to them by their association.
