Advanced Trial Advocacy Program

The Advanced Trial Advocacy Program is an intensive three-day program offered for prosecutors who have some jury trial experience. This program will provide approximately 12 CLE hours. Instead of a case study being provided to students, attendees will each bring one of their own cases to work from throughout the program. Lectures will cover analytical advocacy and theory bases prosecution as well as all phases of a jury trial from voir dire to closing argument and preserving the record There will be small group case discussions and student performances.
This program will be held in Norfolk. Attendance is limited to 30 students. No application is necessary. Lodging is provided and all meals are provided or reimbursed at the state per diem rate. Travel to and from the training is not covered.
Attendance at all sessions of the program is mandatory.
